Does anyone know something about ink? I've been trying to make ink it off leave Wich kinda works... So far I've been able to produce results suitable for guache but I'm aiming for ink suitable for feathers and glass pens. Problem is that the ink keeps getting stuck in the nib... I already compared my stuff with calligraphy ink. Mine is more viscous but diluting it results in the ink dripping off the pen and destroying the surface tension with soap doesn't help too.

I have no experience with ink, but some with miniature painting. When thinning paints, there is a slight difference between thinning with water and thinning with disinfectant alcohol (like the supermarket hansaplast 70% stuff, not the apothecary-grade 100%). Don't know how useful this is for your needs, but it might be worth a try.

I have used regular fountain pens ink with glass fountain dip pens. trying to remember the brands, been a while since I put them away so I would know where they were and of course I have not seen them since lol Noodlers I have I think only one color but it's very old, I noticed it on Amazon recently and it has a different name but it's the waterproof black that is bleach proof or something, I use it for art well I did when I knew where it was. It smells gross the one I have but it's really old. But it's waterproof so I endure. Then I have some French brand maybe, starts with a J I think, several colors, verte something for an olive green I think and it worked really well. Sailor ink did not work out so well not in pens nor as a dip pens ink for glass or for speed ball calligraphy I think it is the name, the ink was just weird and smelly, the sailor pen was kind of terrible too. Maybe I got a bad set. I forgot what else I have, diamante brand, sp? but I can't remember if I ever tried it out as a dip pens style or not... but it's smooth in petite pilots pens . I refill those with an injector. I've never tried thinning or thickening any inks before, might try the fountain pen forum site, I can't remember the name at the moment but they will probably know what to do
