Have you ever lost a friend over something petty or betrayal? I've lost childhood friends over stuff like that. We'd be friends for over 10+ years then they get distant. I had 1 male best friend ghost me when my life was finally doing better and I thought he was happy for me. Then in the past 1 female friend I knew since 9th grade try to seduce my ex. I treat friends like family but it doesn't matter I guess. It's also hard to make friends as adults 😕 It just doesn't hit the same as childhood friends.

I had two guys all called best friend, the first was when I was a teenager he was my road dawg and we were both in the church hard. He ended up becoming a thief and an alcoholic and refused to accept help from anyone even me. Now he is in prison. The second was a military brother of mine who was a lone wolf (if you get my drift) he refused to be faithful to his wife who was drop dead gorgeous and from Congo 🇨🇩. Honestly I have a love/hate with the best friend title. I seem to lift up the wrong kinds of people for me. I've disconnected with a few. My first best friend eventually ghosted when I came out to my friends. I think they actually were projecting and had some sort of trigger over my facing myself. Many, many times 😅 Let's just say I was a dumb, naive kid who thought coming out as gay to church friends was a good idea. Multiple times. I think my adult friendships have different qualities that are hard to get from childhood friends.
