Avatar: The Last Airbender is almost perfect in its awfulness. Wooden acting, strange casting decisions, awful writing, terrible direction, nauseating cinematography, horrible visial effects, bad sound design, leaden pacing, appalling fight choreography, awful attempts at humor… and ive exhasted my vocabulary for how utterly garbage this movie is. A movie is supposed to be more than the sum of its parts. They are the seamless weaving of the many different pieces of production to make a unified whole. Avatar:TLA is the antithesis, each component actively detrimental to the final product.

We lost a legend this week. David Lynch wad not everyone's cup of tea, and his work often either misunderstood, or not understood at all, but it made you think. His take on DUNE is still one of my favorite movies, with an equally amazing score/soundtrack.
