Rate the Film: 2012 The Dark Knight Rises
Where would you rate The Dark Knight Rises? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments For me:⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2. The final film in The Dark Knight trilogy that frankly needs a title rework. While I still enjoy the film for the existing and the newer characters, the action, and just the sheer size and scope as well s good effects, the film needed more time with a few script rewrites. Some of the writing and choices aren’t great and despite getting a new villain in Bane, who is intimidating yet funny in regards to his voice, we’re given a repeat villain with the League of Assassins from the first film as well as a surprise villain that doesn’t feel warranted. Joseph Gordon Levitt as young cop is fine, but who he really is doesn’t feel warranted either. Catwoman is fine I suppose though could’ve developed her character more. The ending also does feel a bit rushed. I don’t know. I understand that after everything happened with Heath Ledger and just the epicness of The Dark Knight, it was going to be a challenge for The Dark Knight Rises to live up to its predecessor. Again I don’t think it’s really that bad, but certainly not the strongest in the trilogy.
