How do you know that it's perfectly balanced? Does he come back every year to reprune the balance? What if someone grows in that time frame, are they any less relevant to that previous balance? So many questions, no answers. I like that Thanos is a villian whom has some deeper reasons for doing the things he does. This makes him less one dimmension, but he's so driven by all this that he forgets his own internal pain by simply solving an equation. I also agree that this is the downfall of Marvel Universe. The quality in audio in these movies was horrendous and we've stepped passed a line of real and into CG. Sure the other movies have effects, but you can't obviously shoot plasma lasers out of Iron Mans suit without it. Howvere; when you start to use CG for really odd things that an actor could perform, you lose that touch with the audience for flashy effects. Sure it looks over the top, but one and done.
