Disappointed/ overrated
Pan’s Labyrinth - this one was hyped and misbraded for me. It felt like it touched the surface of the fantastic/visual storytelling genre and was selling it like it was Alice in Wonderland. Blair Witch’s Project - first complaint. Horror movies need to be scary. Second complaint this create a cultural stratification/justification of “you didn’t get it cause you dumb.” This is like how people pull an arguement just to feel like they have that uppity inclusion into an entry level “film buff” pretentiousness. This movie was just bad.

Well Blair Witch Project was more famous for advertising making it feel like this was real due to its found footage style. I watched it in like 2010s remember being scared by it because it was built up that way. Doesn’t hold up much now for me, but can’t deny its accomplishment.

Have you thought pan's Labyrinth it's going to be anything like Alison Wonderland you missed understood the movie entirely you clearly don't understand the deeper meanings of Pans Labyrinth if you're not used to true dark fantasy you're going to basically be going into a movie which you have no idea what you're on about the movie is about the true abuse of how men perceive women in the time it took place the ravages of war on the mental state of any soldier and not to mention the neglect of children so much that they literally go into their own mental imaginations to escape a lot of children actually did this in world war I which is the war they were fighting in pan's Labyrinth if you can't understand a movie you can't really review it properly and it seems like you're reviews in air quotes are surface level at best
