I'm about to enter my glory phase About to start living my winning days It's been grind and grit for most of my story The happy ending will no longer ignore me I'll write a chapter and tag it on The epilogue my final song Were I'll slay the dragon Save my self Take the gold And live in good health At peace with every decision I made That led from the darkness To bring bright lights on my face The freedom the favour that I deserve Well ...as long as the Mage keeps their word They hold the bottle in their hands The potion to take me to that promise land And I've had this carrot dangled before Two years of maybes half-yesses and almosts I dare not truly fully believe That they'd wave a hand a wand Shake down whatever is up their sleeve To finally transform my life So that I can lead Be a knight at the big round table Adorned in armour Lavished with respect No longer just a talented helper in the stable But a champion without a debt (edited)
