I've read somewhere that instead of pointing out your flaws in front of the mirror, you should instead point out the positives. And do this each day until it becomes a habit. So that way your mentality will slowly bypass the negativity, and it'll become second nature to compliment yourself instead of bringing yourself down. Self love is hard when you've spent most of your days being torn down by others, as well as by yourself.

Well it helps to think about what you DO like about yourself first. And remind yourself of those whenever you start thinking about a flaw in yourself. This has become a habit for me now and it really does wonders. Also, understanding that no one is perfect and that's okay. It's kind of cool actually, it's what makes you human. And being human is awesome. If you were perfect you wouldn't really be a human, would you? And understanding that most of what we perceive as flaws in ourselves, literally no one else even thinks about it or notices it. When they think of you, they don't see these flaws. Think about your friends or family right now.. are you thinking of a bunch of their flaws? Probably not. But they know all their flaws, yet it's not really how you see them. People see you the same way.

Sometimes it takes me a moment to acknowledge that it's okay. There's times where my flaws honestly get the best of me drives me to isolate myself from others. But I'm slowly working on it. I take a step back, I think about how I can work with or work to improve my flaws, make small goals, and slowly go at it one step at a time. Sometimes it honestly takes time to acknowledge that it'll be okay. And that's fine. Take the time you need so you can be comfortable in your own skin

Haven't yet, unfortunately... it's still a work in progress despite the 27+ years. However being recognized for my work has significantly helped (worked hard/struggled to get through school and be in the position I'm in now). Also utilizing my perceived flaws to help the people I can~ giving back to the universe in a sense that may help others navigate themselves better in hopes to avoid them feel the way I do

You're the only person who has been with you for the longest and will always be there. So I figured out what I didn't like about myself and determined do I not like it because I think it's what others don't like or is it an actual problem that can negatively impact me and those around me.

I imagine there's a little baby inside me. Let's say that baby is my heart. He's stupid, crazy, vulnerable but he is mine. He is dependent on me and we have to stay together till the rest of our life. He can never leave me. I am a responsible person and I need to take care of that little baby. He make mistakes I know. But my duty is to understand him and make him understand with care what's wrong for him. I would recommend you a book: The alchemy of happiness (edited)
