Where to start?

I don’t go out much, hardly ever tbh, but idk if I should start going out more. Everyone I see always looks like they are having fun and doing things they enjoy and while I do enjoy being at the house, it gets lonely, and I wanna meet new people but I don’t like people? It’s weird

I get it. It's possible to meet people that have the qualities you like.

What I like to do is go on Meetup and join a group or go to the library and take a class. For one, it's free. For two it's all interest based. So if you don't hit it off with anyone, you still get to have an experience outside with something you enjoy.

My library just had a 3-D printed jewelry class yesterday.

Whatever you watch or game, find something in real life to do that's related to your interests. I like these small classes because they're introvert friendly.

There's always traveling too. It makes you get out of your comfort zone and have the best experiences.

I used to be very social and extremely outgoing, but now relate more to how you described yourself.

I’ve thought about it a lot tbh. I wonder if the root cause of those feelings are from social anxiety? Or being away from social situations for long enough that you’ve become annoyed by little “icks” people give off, that are realistically just regular human behaviour??

Idk. These are the two things I’ve tried to attribute it to- if you’re able to figure it out, you can likely make a plan on how to move forward and enjoy socializing more :)

I feel u bruh. I too absolutely prefer my own company it gets lonely but I think for me I prefer it more cause I got things keeping me busy and I barely even think of going out or having "fun". Being alone and accomplishing the things I got going on is fun for me. So i guess u should try finding ur own fun, something than can keep u busy positively. E.g. Work on ur personal growth.

The people that u seem to not like as much, they'll come naturally through ur journey and since ur not really even trying to find people u'll just find it easy through that. I know I did and still do.
