No! You need to heal yourself because you will self sabotage yourself and the relationship. It doesn't make any sense to pour your darkness over someone else.

Life gives opportunities, if and in which way you grasp them or ignore them is up to you, every decision is a new path. 
There's never a decision being 100% right or wrong, it just is a decision, with an experience coupled to it, experiences are neither good nor bad, as the individual has to decide if they foster growth or create despair. 
It sounds wishy-washy life coach like, but I really don't have a strong opinion on this, it always depends on you and the other person and what kind of life experiences you had so far. 
Just don't cling to each other for "life- support". 
A gentle soul is very rarely in mint condition, but if you want to put your burden on them selfishly, if you can repay the kindness or endure the rejection, nobody can tell until you try.
