Not sure if this goes here, but what do I do if I'm wanting someone in my life but I keep getting people I'm not necessarily into?

I mean, I guess this is a preference, but I get a lot of good and sound singles in my DMs, but they're.. not my type. Like, big girls- they're not my type but they're in my inbox. Should I give them a chance or should I keep to my preferences? I just want to hear other people's opinions at this point.

Stick to your preferences. Doing otherwise is disingenuous.

I get that. I also need to be physically attracted to the person aside from emotional and mental attraction. They're all important. Stick with what you want. No need to rush.

Stick to your preferences. Only talk to people with whom you could see a friendship/relationship flourishing. But do keep your intentions clear so there's no confusion

Always be honest and respect your own boindaries. If you feel like it, you can examine your own preferences and change with time, but never force it.

1. It depends on what your (dating) goals are. Are you just looking for friendly chat or something serious? If closer to the latter, you're wasting a lot of time stringing people along. 2. Be honest about how you feel - especially if you see unreciprocated feelings developing. It might be awkward for a bit or even end after that, but it beats the heartache a longer, dead end courtship.
