Why does it seem so difficult to maintain any relationship? Even having friends online, I feel like I have been reduced to nothing but a shot of dopamine when someone suddenly feels the need for it. In reality, I struggle with girls the most; I can't stand drama and two-facedness and I'm sure all the nice girls like myself have been scared into the depths for fear of being called on and destroyed by hostile influencers. Even guys, who I get along with better, I'm not allowed to be too nice to else I feel like I'm sending unintentional signals. I feel like I'm being forced to choose to stand in the line of fire, or be the one inflicting pain.

I can relate to this to some extent. I was conned a significant amount of money from a person who I genuinely thought as a friend and such betrayal has made be putting a wall and develop trust issues. Now I'm on the process of healing myself and just taking it easy, if a friend wants to come by and accompany me, be my guest. If they want to leave, they can do that too.
