We always make our own choices. Sometimes we make choices that defy our past, sometimes we take our past as a lesson to learn from, in the end it is always a matter of choice. Some choices are more difficult than others, but it is ultimately up to you to decide what you are willing to do. We can make excuses or try to explain the world or both, but defining a thing as something does not make it so. "An apple is an apple by any other name." But I also say that an apple is an apple, whether it be green or red, fresh or dried, underripe or overripe - unlike an apple though, people can choose to change as long as it means enough to them.

The simultaneous influence of hereditary and environmental factors give rise to and determine personality. Therefore, personality is conquered, it is made, it is built. Therefore, personality is the internal cause underlying the individual behaviour (temperament) and the experience of the person (character). However, I don't think that the word "control" is the right word because there are still gaps in what exactly personality is. Many opinions are true, which may or may not be true. However, we still suffer from gaps and uncertainty about certain aspects of our existence......
