Question about my roommates cat????

Question

Why does my roommates cat always sleep with me and yell at me in the morning, despite the fact I’ve never fed him once? I’m new to being in a house with a cat, but I’ve always had to idea of them being slightly transactional creatures.

Any insights or story’s to help me understand his thinking is appreciated

Well cat's are loving creatures, i have 5 of them, and some times they surprise me in the morning to, the fact that he yelled at you its simple, cat's don't sleep as much as we do so they get concerned that you're still sleeping...and its simple the cat's adopted you. You are one of he's humans
