My Dream/Nightmare
I just had a dream that I was helping my sister setup decorations for a party. She's a cake decorator and party planner. When I finished I revisited my home after summer break and my black and white tux cat missed me so much. He climbed up on me while I was sitting in a chair. It was adorable. But then...I hear a hiss. And not from a cat. I look down and there's a thin green Garter snake curled at my feet ready to lunge in for a bite at my ankles. I'm terrified, I jump out of the way. And run. But I did the thing you're never supposed to do when running away.. I turned back and it's chasing me. I think what I can do in this situation. I try to block its path and close doors on it. And just when i think I've gotten it trapped, I see its head slither out from an exposed pipe nearby. So this snake is intelligent enough to have studied the area before and can quickly think of the fastest way to me. That's when i realized this isn't just a random occurrence of crossing paths. This snake is hunting me. For whatever reason. Maybe for fun at this point. The snakes pursuing after me from the pipe, I imagine what else i can do in the moment. I look at my surroundings. I'm outside. There's construction being made of a stone brick wall. There's crates stacked precariously high. I think hive protection. If I can make it back to others I'll be in the safety within a group. I climb the crates and boxes nearly falling over, when I'm up over the wall, i kick down and topple the crates. Thinking it can't just climb up. I make it back to someone and tell them my situation. We are in a hallway tunnel. There should only be 1 way to approach us from here. And we do see it come from that direction. The other person lights a Molotov and chucks it right on the snake. Burning it alive. I'm free. I wake up.

Do you folks dream?
Honestly, I don't know why I can't sleep and dream like a normal person. I literally have weird/frustrating/disturbing dream after dream after dream all night. Not what I would call a true nightmare. No serial killers or monsters... But lots of distress of one form or another.
