Immersing yourself in an environment where the language is primarily spoken is a sure fire way to learn a language. When I was young, I learned English primarily at school, at courses, and by independent learning which mainly comprised of the passive skills (listening, writing). It wasn't until I started working in a multinational companies with foreign colleagues was I "forced" to learn active speaking. Then I relocated to Singapore where English is one of the primary languages. That kinda cemented my spoken English skills. Tho still far from perfect, I've gained the habit of talking English daily and feel more comfortable and confident doing so. Hope this helps! (edited)
