Indonesian : An Easy Language to Learn?
Did you know that Indonesian is one of the easiest languages to learn? Unlike many other languages, it has no verb conjugations, no gendered nouns, and no complicated plural rules. Instead of changing verb forms, Indonesian simply adds words like 'sudah' (already) for past tense or 'akan' (will) for future tense. Plural words are also simple—just repeat the word! For example, 'buku' (book) becomes 'buku-buku' (books). To make it even clearer, here are some everyday sentences in Indonesian: 👉🏼"Saya makan nasi." (I eat rice) 👉🏼"Dia pergi ke sekolah." (He/She goes to school) 👉🏼"Besok saya akan pergi ke pasar." (Tomorrow I will go to the market) 👉🏼"Saya sudah melihat film itu." (I have already watched that movie) See? No verb conjugations! The structure is straightforward, and you just add words like 'akan' (will) or 'sudah' (already) to indicate tense. Pretty simple, right? Additionally, many Indonesian words are similar to English, making it even easier to learn. Words like 'radio' (radio), 'televisi' (television), 'kategori' (category), 'komputer' (computer), 'dokter' (doctor), 'musik' (music), 'universitas' (university), 'aktif' (active), 'identitas' (identity), 'film' (film), 'kopi' (coffee), 'restoran' (restaurant), 'hotel' (hotel), 'paspor' (passport), 'internet' (internet), 'vitamin' (vitamin), 'komunikasi' (communication), 'telefon' (telephone), 'akses' (access), 'energi' (energy), 'foto' (photo), 'helikopter' (helicopter), 'informasi' (information), 'ide' (idea), 'modern' (modern), 'objek' (object), 'panik' (panic), 'privasi' (privacy), 'proses' (process), 'sistem' (system), and 'stres' (stress) are almost identical—only slightly different in pronunciation. And there are still many more! With its simple grammar and familiar vocabulary, Indonesian might be easier to learn than you think! 🤓😊 (edited)
