Every connection is a selfish act

I understand people's false dreams to place their happiness in other people. Such as a parent placing their Hopes into their child but in turn furthering your own bloodline. Making a friend to have commonalities between another human being , which is just a desperate attempt for either allies or frantic approval. Lastly , a lover trying to feel the comfort of another in their arms , in a way stealing that opportunity from others to simply enjoy that feeling for yourself. All of which can be attributed to animalistic behavior. At the end , these are things the individual desire, since no matter what "selfless" act you might commit, it's in service to a goal of achieving companionship for yourself. Which is why you see people feel such sadness, Injustice, and self righteousness when the happiness they placed into another was taken from them.

I disagree with you on this a connection is not a selfish act especially if you are assisting in caring for their person on a level of such depth and clarity caring for someone without needing it in return is a selfless connection and there's nothing wrong with having such a connection with someone

Everything is selfish if you look hard enough, even in cases of self sacrifice such as donating a kidney because you *wanted* to help someone else. In the end, all that matters is whether or not you’re trying to become a better person through each act or action and the consequences that come with each action. (edited)
