Love isn't Dead. People Are.
Swimming through the air, Filled in your memories... I never thought I'd come this far, too ashamed to come back here again... a part of me, too scared to dig into the memories that you're part of.. Memories that were once too painful.. I was wrong. A place I never thought would be my home, Became a part of my being... A part of who I became.. I was filled with Darkness, But peace is creeping in... I feel.... alive. The feeling of belonging... This is special. This is what I was missing. Your memories aren't traumatic anymore. It's been over a decade, I thought I had to live without you.. I was wrong. You never left You just became a part of me. And even though id never feel your face, Feel your touch... feel you hold my face.... Kiss my lips.. Today, I just hope... That I rejoin you in the afterlife... Today I hope it's more sooner than later. P.s Not sure how much this is poetry. But I had to put it out there. 😘 Love isn't Dead. People Are.
