Would non-neroudivergint people date a neroudivergint person?( and Vise versa).
I'm writing this because of the fact that I myself have A.S.D and A.D.H.D. In the past when I had flings and exes, they often complained that I had a lack of understanding of certain emotional concepts. Though, I often explain that I just have a lack of comprehensive knowledge of certain emotions (Not saying that I don't feel any emotions, it's just that some emotions are hyper-reactive and some are hypo-reactive). It eventually led to the down fall of multiple relationships and quick flings. It presents a challenge to many non-nerodivergint people as well as presents a challange to many neroudivergint people, so I ask, would a non-nerodivergent person be willing to date a neroudivergint person(vise versa), if it was in the context of a "regular" relationship?

I'd like to think so. I know that I would - and I believe that I have. However, I'm under the ND umbrella myself, so it's a moot point to what you're asking. I want to believe that others would look past such things. We all have a history, we all have things we're working on. No one is perfect, you know? It's about accepting someone, just as they are. 💙

I think this is a non starter. Neuro divergence and non neuro divergence exist on a spectrum with a whole lot of other traits. You're putting too much emphasis on things that don't matter. You can't understand certain emotions well? Learn about them. Most people who can't "feel" certain emotions are people whose brains have repressed or dialed down the feeling due to past experiences. Learn more about yourself, if the other person simply doesn't see the logic, reason, or isn't open to having a conversation, you won't be able to have it them, doesn't matter where they fall on the spectrum.

Neurotypicals can indeed date neurodivergents but it's much harder. It's usually recommended that neurodivergents date other neurodivergents because they understand each other better.

I personally am neurodivergent (based on feedback provided by others) and find it easier to date or befriend non-neurodivergent individuals as having two nut cases in the same room doesn’t usually work out well.
