Depends on why they're broke. Bad life choices and irresponsible, no. A string of bad luck, layoff, life emergencies, yes. As a single mom with 2 kids, I'm at the lowest financial point in my life but I'm working every day to change that. I hope someone would still give me a chance despite all that.
