Weird Question for me..

Are stay at home moms still a thing? I'll say I've never been attracted to that particular lifestyle, because up until a few years ago I've never had children. Now that I have one toddler son the idea seems an important factor for what I want out of my next relationship. Someone that can be trusted to be with my son all day while I'm at work. Granted I'd be nervous as hell introducing my son to anyone to begin with... Realationships in general are sketchy at best (at least from my experience), so I wouldn't want to introduce anyone to my son who wouldn't want to stay around and be a solid in both our lives and us in hers...

It's definitely a tough question. I'm not a parent but i am an aunt so I can at least understand the issue of a person your dating meeting a younger child in your family that's near and dear to your heart. Just from my experience give yourself and that person Time to find out what your wanting from eachother and not just with words but with actions. Communication is of course a major thing in any type of relationship but I found that seeing how that person treats their relatives, me, and their friends while we are together very telling. Parenting I filly believe is a hard job that many people face either by planning or by accident but either way it can be a joy ride 😂😭🥰 if that person is willing to stay around for that child even if your not dating any longer that would be an amazing result too! That's what my aunt did lol she basically adopted her ex's child lol my cousin now has her own room and everything it's pretty cool (edited)

Depends on where you live. Years ago, a very nice lady from the northeast told me she was a stay at home wife and she was not accepted and mocked by the other moms. Around here it seems rare but it does happen. The good thing is it's going back because it just works. That's little consolation for the generation of motherless homes. Look up trad wife on YouTube, all the hate it's all mean bitter women that do not want families to be happy.

Wow.

I very recently realized that I have difficulty receiving love. Creating a safe space for others comes naturally. Nurturing, listening, and comforting others is easy for me… but allowing myself to receive the same is extremely difficult. Does anyone else have issues with this?
