It's so hard to explain my Sexuality to people to the point I just get into the habit of saying asexual. Which isn't a lie, but I just don't fit into the whole "asexual, sex repulsed" box. Because I'm not sex repulsed, very sex positive and know much about it. Despite it being useless information for myself as I just don't see myself in a sexual relationship. I don't know what this is, I know ace is a spectrum but I don't know where on it I fall and I'm starting to really outgrow the label of Asexual.

I’m celibate so not exactly the same. But I understand where you’re coming from where you believe physical intimacy is important at some point but you’re not obsessed with doing it with just anyone. You don’t have to be asexual to just be selective and/ or just not want a sexual relationship rn. Dont force yourself to be asexual or hypersexual. Just be you. It’s okay. (edited)

As long as you understand your own boundaries I wouldnt label it. At most Id say in a place to be selective, at worse Id say avoiding the lead wasted waters people call the dating pool or in the hiring process. Consider what you are attracted to, not the sex or the gender but rather if there is a person who makes you want to seek intimacy with them in a way where is shown to be mutual. What character development do they have? Why? There are many who are very guarded such as myself. Been in the same boat and well all I can say is Whoopee doo... sex isn't a turn on if you consider if the person is going to flake or if they were never authentic. Or if there is an unknown motive or certain issues that come as a risk in the aftermath. That wouldn't make any sane person asexual. Just you haven't met the person who met the job qualifications. If you are really trying not to label a sexual preference though, sadly beware that there will be people who ask a few questions that are off putting. Do you take part or watch, 1 partner or more, exp vs no exp? Dom or sub? Followed by their gender? The problem with such questions is in there absolute vagueness. Just because you could or might take part doesnt mean you would or have enjoyed it and could prevent you from finding your thing. Just remember loves like a fart and if you're trying to hard, we'll thats not a fart...
