A man started degrading me in this app for being a single, older mom. For the record, being a single mom doesn’t mean there is drama. My home is peaceful, full of love and kindness. I’m single and a mom by choice as I am stable and independent as well the primary parent and provider. 😛

That’s my sentiments exactly but I was shocked that anyone would think less of me for being a single mom. It was actually so 90’s and coming from someone in their 30’s. Our culture is so behind where it should be. Being older also does not mean I’m lesser either. In fact I’m the best version of myself I’ve ever been. I would not trade my current self for my 20 year old self haha

If you watch any amount of YouTube men on podcasts seem to think that single moms are used up worthless objects to avoid. As though you procreation with somebody else makes you obsolete. Well my oldest sons dad wasn't in the picture and still isn't even after I met my partner off here. Children are a blessing don't let anybody else tell you differently. Certainly wouldn't give up my independence or peace for somebody that felt otherwise.

I was raised by a single mother, taught to respect others. I know I've heard enough negative feedback about what others think of me, so I try to avoid feeding into that by not doing the same to others
