Why is there such an obsession with youth?
I like to think i look my age and I hope I grow to look my age as I get older. I've experienced many other women bragging about looking young for their age and insist that they still get IDd and mistaken for a teenager and it feels weird to witness. I had a 21 year old woman once assume I was in college when I worked as a disability assistant and when I revealed I was 24 she would say things like "omg you look SO good for your age, you look so young" Um... we are just about the same age? It's not that much of a difference? Why is this so valued and idealised? Quick science fact - reversing age skincare is not real. Anti ageing products cannot reverse the natural process of free radical damage, you can DELAY the signs of the process with antioxidant products for example but it doesn't stop it. Embrace nature. Well, I'm 40! And I aged perfectly 😁 They say I Look young but I don't really mind it . I really don't mind how I look according to my age but on how I feel and those signs of getting old is reminding me on my joints and veins, but I just love how I grow older as time goes by. 😊😇 Some wanted to look younger as a self boosting method , feeling good to be complimented.
