Date Fruit

Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as the date palm or date fruit is a flowering-plant species in the palm family, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. The species is widely cultivated across North Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and naturalized in tropical and subtropical regions. In Islamic culture, dates and yogurt or milk are traditionally the first foods consumed for Iftar after the sun has set during Ramadan. In my country, date fruit can easily be found during the Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. They are high in several nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants, all of which may provide health benefits ranging from improved digestion to a reduced risk of disease.
