Try accessing web pages targeted at beginners! They explain basic grammar concepts really well. For the three languages I've taken a serious dive into studying, at least, they've proven to be excellent resources to get me started. Don't be afraid to use multiple sources, either. Some things may either be incomplete or locked behind a paywall. You may also find consensus on information, to make sure it's correct. Once you've gotten started, be sure to practice with someone to get the language engrained in your brain. And be sure to expose yourself to media in the language, to get used to the sound, even if you don't understand much of anything. And of course, don't push yourself too hard in the start! Burnout can be a killer of progress, so be sure to take care when beginning your journey with your new language. I wish you luck, and hope that fluency finds its way to you.

I think it depends on your goals. If you're just trying to read, I'd say learning grammar, the writing system, and sentence structure is the best way. If you're just wanting to learn how to speak and be conversational, I think starting with shadowing concentrating on pronunciation and vocabulary is the best way. If it's for business or you're already in the country, a language school would be the best way to get started.

Mopeds in Vietnam
Just found out one of the slang terms for mopeds in Vietnam is "xe ôm" which literally means (hug car) because you hug the driver as you ride and i just find that so adorable.
