Rate the Film: 1976’s The Outlaw Josey Wales
Where would you rate The Outlaw Josey Wales? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Not a Clint Eastwood film I watch very often, but still a very good one. Clint Eastwood is still great as always in most of his films, it’s shot well, and it’s a good story about a man’s journey to find peace and perhaps revenge after he’s lost so much because of one man, the villain, as well as a look at how people reacted and acted after the end of the American Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy. While I do recommend this film if you’ve haven’t seen it, be aware that this is sort of a revisionist history where it’s made to look like the Confederates are good and the Union are evil (at least the men in this case). Josey Wales does join the Confederacy, but we don’t know his stance on the Confederacy and he only joined to hopefully get revenge on the Union soldiers that killed his family. Regardless, if your not a fan of history be revised quite like this, I get it. Otherwise I still recommend seeing it at least once.
