Rate the Film: 2010’s Jonah Hex
Where would you rate Jonah Hex? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments For me: ⭐️. I remember this DC Comic characters from Batman the Animated Series, Justice League/JL Unlimited, and Batman the Brave and the Bold. Thought he was a pretty cool character. His first cinematic debut though, while perform well by Josh Brolin, is not very good. Feels rushed and edited down to a PG-13 film when it could’ve gone for a rated R and this is perhaps one of the shortest, if not the shortest comic book films to date at an 1hr and 20 mins. Megan Fox is very good, John Malkovich isn’t a fun nor acts like a despicable villain, some poor lighting for action scene moments, and some “cool in theory” moments such as Gatling guns on a horse. Shouldn’t have work, but it’s kind of cool. The studios I guess also threw in a power for Jonah Hec where he touches a dead person and they ressurrect so long as they touch Hex. As far as I know he never had this power in the comics and felt it was thrown in to keep DC fans and general audiences entertained. Won’t deny it kind of being cool to use. Still it’s just feels like a bad comic book film as well as a bad western. If your not familiar with Jonah Hex then maybe you’ll like it a little more. It’s not totally unwatchable in my opinion, but definitely very underwhelming.
