Rate the Film: 1983 Staying Alive

Where would you rate Staying Alive? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me: ⭐️. This is a sequel to 1977 Saturday Night Fever which I’ve tried to watch even with my folks that told me they like the film, yet while watching I wasn’t invested and even my folks lost interest as well. So maybe it doesn’t hold up. Idk. So Stayinf Alive by it self the story is uninteresting involving John Travoltas character trying to make it big on Broadway while in a love triangle. The acting ranges from average to just piss poor. If I have to say something nice is the dancing is fine and the music is ok. That’s it’s one saving grace which is The Bee Gees Stayin Alive. The film got pan by critics (0% on Rotten Tomatoes) but it despite winning a few razzies, the film didn’t bomb and, I think it won some award that weren’t razzies. Plus it was directed by Sylvester Stallone. Some might say this is a misunderstood film. Possible I guess, but it just didn’t do it for me.
