Loneliness

Question

Sorry for the long post..

You know what I never really understood.. Loneliness.

Not by its definition, but by it's deeper aspect.

How can it be that even though there are billions of people in the world, that we still can feel alone.

When even we are with our friends, family, loved ones we still can feel, how to say.. out of place ?

Had these situations where been in crowds, groups of 
acquaintances, ect., but somehow feel lost.

And then again had situations in nature where I am just by myself, just being there alone with the atmosphere - sounds, smells, feeling suddenly awake in the moment - feeling connected even though there is nobody to share the experience with.

Is loneliness a feeling, a state of mind, your mental health giving you an alarm that you need change something in you or around you or just an mechanism of evolution forcing us to stay together ?

I think loneliness stems from an inability to connect in the moment. You can have a connection with all sorts of things not just people. That's why you can feel lonely in a crowded room and content by yourself with the beauty of nature to keep you company. It's may also be why you can connect with people in a group one day and feel out of place the next. Your capacity to connect in the moment differs day to day. At least that true for my experience.

Maybe the feeling of loneliness is because there is no connection at all, company, but not deep connection. Evolution of a human been as result of  technology. It’s just a theory :)

For me loneliness means not connecting with people, the reason I feel alone around my family is that at the core we are extremely different. When I'm able to connect with someone (once in a blue moon) I'm never alone, even if their not physically there.

I can tell you that loneliness is a desire for God. You could be surrounded by those billions of people and still feel alone despite the proximity. You could establish multitudes of relationships and still feel alone. You are only ever truly not alone when you accept Jesus in your heart because he is always knocking to be let inside. My thoughts 🙂
