Learning about myself
What are you best tips, tricks, strategies, methods, etc., for creating emotional stability in moments of instability? When you feel the highest of highs, or the lowest of lows, what do you do to help realign yourself? Personally I try to distract myself with music, I like to try to focus on different beats within the track at the same time. Most of the time I lose it within seconds, but i just try to focus again. If I'm in a bad mood, I find this method helps me stay focused more easily and I can sort my thoughts out or allow the negativity to dissipate. If I'm in a good mood, it still helps me stay focused, I get way too into my head at times, and I'm more eager to find new music that fits this method so that just adds to the positivity. What are your thoughts on my ideas? what are your tips? Any insight is appreciated π

Perhaps distraction is not the healthiest thing to do. Try to acknowledge the feeling(s) and understand what thought created it. Ensure whether or not the feeling is the appropriate response and if itβs a negative one, try to move it on with a better understanding of the situation that created it.

For me, putting limits on my actions. Even if I'm emotional or someone is being mean I have limits on what I will do, and by not doing them it forces me to deal with and over time manage my emotions so they don't get to the point of intensity where I feel compelled to so much and thus avoid having to struggle so much. Also I just don't like intense emotions in general so so I'm sort of anti anything that effects self control anyway I think I could some it up with this, peaceful looking demeaner of the body tells the mind that your okay when u see yourself acting that way it's kinda like a confirmation from the external you to the internal you, almost like talking to yourself but from the outside, in a way there is two of us and each plays off the other so if one gets out of control look to the other to help you try to control the other one. Or we can say the body reflects the mind, but the mind can also reflect off of the body instead of itself when it gets itself in a pickle (edited)
