Looking for a partner is not like shopping for a good stuff and throw or give it away afterwards. It's more than a fling. It's more than the butterflies and the slow motion. Looking for a lifetime partner is getting to know more about the person and either accepting their past or tell them right away that you're not going to workout rather than prolong and both of you will waste so much time in the end. It needs more patience and understanding than just picking who you gonna fling. :)

Literally this... those occasional posts of people asking for a relationship always trigger me... because while a relationship may be an end goal it depends on the actual chemistry between two people and some sort of connection, so you'd have to get to know them first before being able to tell if a relationship is even worth the effort. If you're being superficial about who to engage with in a relationship, you're not ready for that commitment in the first place. (edited)
