Marriage sounds good, but
Family #law in the US and most other countries seems like a deal breaker. Can anyone relate? There's little incentive for men to get married outside of loneliness. Marriage law seems to come with massive financial risk, and having children makes it way worse. I see too many good men end up on the wrong side of a custody battle. What do y'all think?

I think pursuing a relationship without marriage in mind isn't a good long term plan for majority of men and women due to high likely of sexuel desires, and need of security or purpose with a partner assist. And remaining single prevents practicing monogamous acts. My best bet is to become the best version of myself and then demonstrate or pursue the best version of her. Better to marry than the alternative, I think

I think marrying for the wrong reasons can absolutely end in messy and stressful divorces. Too many people rush into a marriage without thinking of possible repercussions down the line. If that is a legitimate concern, there's always ways to protect yourself. Hence a prenup. It doesn't have to be just for people that have money, that can be for any status. My dad ended up in the end getting custody of his kids, so I can't relate to that side either. But if both parents are capable and good parents, there are father leaning states, and split custody agreements. I feel like people in divorces use kids as pawns rather than actually caring who the better fit or best situation would be for the kids. So less to do with the court system and more about what parent wants to hurt which one the worst.
