It is ok to be honest.. 💭
Just something I was thinking about recently. 🤔 I remember when I really first started dating in my mid 20s, people would advise me not to tell my dates exactly what I would like out of a relationship on the first date.. They said that I would scare people away by talking about family and future too soon..😬 I did this for years but honestly, it didn't get me where I wanted to be. It always ended in use discovering after a while that we were not good together because we wanted different things.🙄 I decided to just be completely honest with my situations, wants and needs before I even meet people and it has saved me, and others so much time! I don't expect anyone to change for me so why wouldn't I give them a heads up? ☺️ Just be honest, friends. It is so freeing for you and the other person. Even if the reaction isn't good, that is ok. Maybe not on a first date depending on how casual you guys are keeping it since it's an initial meeting, but definitely you both should be clear one what you're lookong for long-term early on. I guess the exception would be if you're jusy lookng for hookups or a FWB situation, in which case let that be known ASAP.

I don't think there's anything to criticize about being honest about what you want. It's a way of being responsible to the other person. Rather than having arguments, unhappiness and pain for the foreseeable future, it's better to say everything before you start. If there is no disagreement on both sides, we can also clear the direction of our future development, even if the results are not satisfactory.
