How long do you wait before unmatching?

Got a match few days ago. Sent an initial message. And after 24 hours, the girl still hadn't replied. So I unmatched, thinking she wasn't that interested. Was I too quick on the trigger? Now I'm thinking that might be normal... Women are (usually) swarmed with likes/messages, so they disable their notifications. She might not have seen my message. And while I do check my apps a little everyday (mostly for the memes) I can't expect everyone to do the same. Any comments, suggestions, insults? (edited)

my opinion. If she doesn't write back within 24 hours she wasn't that interested. If we are interested we will write back pretty quickly. Sure it could take a few hours because of work or whatever, but not 24 hours...

I don’t always check in daily. I think a few days is standard waiting. I mean, maybe she’s sick, on vacation, working late, celebrating a birthday, having a family gathering … you never know.

IMO ; Don't bother unmatching. It's a dating app so it's very unlikely that people are gonna be on their toes, phone in hand just to say hi to a stranger that may or may not be completely wack. If you matched and sent your message there's nothing else for you to do, you both shared interest if it doesn't go any further, it's fine too. You've got nothing to lose, just keep matching til you find happiness. Matching isn't a contract, you can match and talk to multiple potential partner or friends, and pick the one that you find the most enjoyable to be with, there's no need to pick only one and feel on edge.

i work full time i'm also a parent with a homeschooler....i have my phone with me majority of the day. Most ppl do.... so i give 12-24 hours then unmatch....no exceptions, no excuses, no settling for less than what i know i deserve. 💁🏻‍♀️

Pretty much immediately if I can tell they are starting to ghost or not show interest in having conversation. I just don't feel like wasting time with that. (edited)

You were too quick. I've liked people a lot and wrote back 1-3 days later max. Nothing personal, I just need to think a bit, I have to keep my "chatlist" short so I don't get overwhelmed, otherwise I don't write back to anyone.

You shouldn't have unmatched IMO cos the fact that she ignored doesn't change the fact that you like her. Its one of those nah instances. It's normal. Yes or nah. I got a like from a lady...went through her profile and OMG.! No wonder she liked and matched. I messaged her and its been over a week, she leaves me on read.lol so Guillaume, you see? You'll wonder why someone will make the first move and then withdraw or ignore you for whatever reason they have.It is what it is. DONT TAKE THINGS TOO PERSONAL bro, you're happier that way

I don't even care if someone replies or not. Sometimes, they pop back a few days later and I am reminded they exist. Sometimes they don't and I can't even remember. I also don't see a reason to unmatch anyone. Either they stay there or they say something stupid enough to get blocked. My preference is bi-montly communication and as surprising as it might seem, some are into it. (edited)

bruh, on an app like Boo you are better off unmatching after whatever time is suitable to you. if 24 hours is your threshold then that's it! mine is 1 hour. I'm just not interested in most women as they mostly are not that appealing to me 😉😉😉
