What are you looking for? Have you evolved from looking for girlfriend, boyfriend relationships?

If your goal is marriage, stop looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend. Do not say you're looking for a relationship that will hopefully grow into marriage. The emphasis here is boyfriend, girlfriend, and relationship. The standard of admission for these is so far below marriage that you can waste your entire life in them and never see marriage. Marriage is a very different game than mere love relationships. It requires a certain state of mind and degree of maturity. That's why the Bible says that whoever finds a wife finds a good thing. You find her being a wife before you even marry her. This means that she evolved herself into a wife before she got married. By implication, you have to be a husband to find a wife because you can't relate with what you're not. We always look out for what mirrors us. The reason many people's relationships never go far is because they are carrying the energy of a boyfriend or girlfriend themselves. They accept temporary status and give great importance to something as vaporous as a relationship. A person who is minded on marriage transforms themselves into a husband or wife first. This is how they employ their singleness season, not hoping from one fling or entanglement to another. When they finally step into the market, they're looking for a ready wife or husband too. That's why they can never date for years because they already did their preparations. They also get married promptly because they have a reason to get married. Only in marriage will they unpack physical intimacy. Only in marriage will they find the companionship they need in order to soar. These people have sensitivity to seasons, and, like the men of Issachar in the Bible, they have an understanding of the times and what they ought to do at every season. Did you know that to win in life, you don't need to be a freak of nature or a remarkable genius? All you need to do is to understand the times. Half of winning in life comprises simply in showing up. If you just show up at the right places and at the right time, you will be surprised at how easier your life will get. During your season for becoming a husband or wife, show up there. Don't start jumping into emotional entanglements and calling them relationships. When the time comes for searching, show up there too. Your journey will be that much easier

Well, I'll be the first to comment. I've grown beyond wanting to date anymore, I'm in my late 40s and just want a wife/life partner. I'm not getting any younger and playing the games involved in dating is too exhausting.

Should anyone's goal be marriage? We treat this institution as if something real. When it is just created by men to control property. I think connections and relationships are more important. I think we should just concentrate on living our lives rather than being preoccupied with marriage.

I'm looking for friendships that might grow into something more and I refuse to be pushed into marriage like that's the only reason for two people to come together in love. Everybody is spending SO MUCH TIME looking for love, y'all desperately hunting for THE ONE and I can tell you that isn't the way. I want a love I can't resist, one that burns slow, one where I argue with myself about "how did this friendship become everything". I want it to sneak up on me.

O problema no homem em geral é que antes de encontrar o seu Porto seguro ele fica aportando em qualquer Ilha. E aí aprender a ter um relacionamento efetivo e compromissado teria que ser uma disciplina de família. E o machismo enraiza na sociedade na mente masculina que ele precisa ter vários relacionamentos.
