I ain't no gold digga, but don't be such a broke tigga...
Literally got asked out on a "Water or Coffee" date for 5pm on a Sunday. Dude went on a 20 minute rant about wasting good money on expensive dinners and being ghosted. I felt bad because I didn't want coffee or water... asked if a diet coke was okay or.... ๐๐๐๐ regardless, I told him it was a hard pass on his offer to meet. Dating is dead to me now. Why is it so hard to find my person? Kindness is a virtue. I'm not asking for diamonds, fancy dinners, or expensive things. I want gentle kisses and holding hands and watching Hallmark Christmas movies while drinking hot cocoa. Romance is dead.

Picnic dates are better. Low budget, less distractions, more room for conversation to breath, less discomfort with having to be around people who pressure a dating couple with expectations of how people should behave, thus- leaving space for both to organically be themselves. Im a big fan of fireside dates. Humans have always gathered and told stories around a toasty fire with marshmallows and something hot to drink.

Romance was always dead though. The days of chivalry and courtship all started and ended with the same thing. It was no better back in the day. Those were the days of covered up domestic violence and back street abortionists. The Internet, ;like it has done with everything just opened it up and laid it bare.
