I think that there is something to be said for a somewhat "whole-body" approach to medicine, with (at least!) light exercise being an important aspect of maintaining overall health. I think that the venn diagram of mental and physical health has a lot of overlap. Philosophical dualism, insomuch as it carves out a distinct mind/soul from the physical body, has been somewhat problematic in that respect. Now, does everyone need to be a body-builder? Of course not. Is it good to have some amount of muscle definition and endurance? Of course.

I think Objectively yes it is a sign of health. Physical as well as mental.It takes effort to eat healthier and be active. Easier to just not care at all till your body reminds you later in life. As for show...that's more subjective. I can't look at someone chiseled like a Greek god and think "oh it's just for show"...unless I'm a hater. 🤭 We all have our preferences, I feel that's normal. It's only body shaming if one considers it to be.
