Sapiens - Yuval Noah Harari this book is enlighting and mind-blowing. It's a rational tour from the history of the first men up to the actual time. It explains why things, revolutions, events happened and how we created money and what is the dynamics of modern time. It's long but it's mind-blowing. (edited)

Neil Gaiman
What was your first introduction to Neil Gaiman's work? Mine was the movie Coraline. I only recently found out about and read the book Coraline. The book is almost an entirely different beast. I loved both the movie and the book.
