What is your favorite book and why?

Tell me your favorite book, the one that changed your life or your world view, the one you have multiple copies of or can quote in your sleep. Here's mine: Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey I first read this book when I was 16 years old, and it helped me find acceptance for myself that I was greatly lacking. Carey's writing style has greatly influenced my own. I have a copy that I read, pages worn out. And I have a signed copy that I display. Tell me about yours!

Very tough question for me. I think I'll give it to A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, with runner up going to neil Stephenson's snow crash and an honorable mention to The Hobbit for a million reasons both related and unrelated to the writing itself.
