Love Without Condtions

A parents first promise is to love their child without conditions, as the child grows older this saying becomes oddly suspicious. We place unrealistic expectations on this tiny body, to be the perfect child and it sounds very alarming. We should allow our children to take the reigns and explore their own ideas of freedom, instead they are taking parts in conversations, that the world doesn't really need them. Our children so innocent and pure, as the tears stream down their face and their mental health becomes poor. No child left behind is a motto here in states, but that is the complete opposite of the truth behind those gates. For I myself was a child loved on conditions, to do better, and be better was my only ambition. If your child came to you and said they were not straight, would you still love them or would you let your heart fill with hate? If your child came to you and said they loved someone of a different ethnicity or religious background, would you open up your mind and let love be found? These are the conditions of a lot of people you see, I only know this because one of them was me. -MATK
