Want vs Need

Because some of y'all seem to get the two confused and require clarification through countless posts asking the same question, I'ma help you out. It's perfectly fine to *want* a partner. What's not fine is thinking you *need* a partner. If you're not happy single, you won't be happy in a relationship, particularly after the initial 'high' wears off. A partner isn't going to solve all your problems or cure your depression. Figure yourself out. Get yourself to a place where a partner can add to your life, not be the center of your universe because you can't handle being alone. Bonus round: stop "trying" to find someone. Go out and live your life. Constantly searching for a person to love you is exhausting, stop it. Go do things you enjoy and that make you happy. People are typically drawn to those who aren't desperately searching for a significant other -Respectfully 🦇🖤🦇

So much this! I love to people watch and I love how dynamic they can be and find a facet I love about everyone. On the flip side, I tend to dominate the room if I get dragged into it. It can be tiring for me as well as anybody present. Small doses of interaction interspersed among much time with people who enjoy being mutually alone with me while we take on our best selves.
