Barbie made me sad ***spoilers***
***spoilers*** I saw Barbie today and I knew it was going to be some kind of sad because of all the talk about what makes someone real that was surrounding it, but I didn't think it would make me this sad. There are two things that made me sad that I'm going to try and express in words, but I don't know if I'll make sense. - I feel like I'm Ken from the movie and I feel awful. I don't feel like I'm at the Kenough stage of the movie though. I recently got broken up by a friend who thought they wanted me, but didn't. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but I feel like there are so many parallels to what happened to Ken and Barbie during the breakup scene right before he becomes Kenough and it hurts. He figured it out and I still haven't. -Secondly, the middle of the movie made me feel like an awful person because of all of the clearly bad things that Ken learned from the real world I feel like I've done before. I can't tell if I've just been an awful person this whole time and nobody told me or I've done them non-awfully or even where I'm supposed to go from here. I'm finding it hard to talk to anyone in the real world about it because I feel like I can't be vulnerable to anyone right now because of the previously mentioned breakup (and this stupid toxic masculinity feeling that I can't get away from) so I'm just screaming into the void and hoping I feel better or understand something. Just please don't be mean to me
