What is a handmodel ?
Lots of people come to me and ask “what is a hand model” so, handmodel is basically when you get paid just to hold some stuff. Let say a company is selling this hibiscus and as a hand model all i have to do is hold the flower and let the photographer do his job. This might look like an easy job, but it’s not! When you work with huge company even taking one picture could take hours cause… perfection is everything. I’ve work with one the biggest influencer in Indonesia once, she’s selling a foundation and it took me 2 hours just to have one perfect shot of my hand holding the foundation :) Anyone can a be handmodel, well.. as long as you have “pretty hands” (this actually not true, some company have their own criteria of what kind of hand model they wish to have) … as a hand model, you have to keep your hand very natural (you’re not allowed to do cute nails and always.. always have your nails cut also, keep your hands mosturize! It’s very important) don’t worry, when you have to do photoshoot, cute nails is well provided by the company (they will “style” your hands according to the theme they wish to apply) Oh and, as a handmodel not only you get paid just to hold some stuff, most of the time you get free products of what they’re selling. And for me, I always try the product before it even launch. Like… it’s a privilege! I’m proud lol. There will be contract, where you can’t post pic and vid related to the product before its launching day of course. And you do not own any of your hands pic, it’s basically the company property now. If you wish to re-upload the pic.. you can but make sure to give them the credit. Hope I don’t have to explain this to ppl again lol. So, Interested in becoming a hand model ? (edited)

I was an impromptu hand model once for a company I was interning at. The art department needed some sort of photo of someone holding a tablet (just the hands and screen) that would have our product edited onto the screen. So I held a tablet for a bit and they took some photos and when the magazine got released I saw my pic in there haha. I'm famous mom (edited)
