3yTotally Embarrassing
So I went out with my friend a few weeks ago and thought the waiter was being really sweet but like for a good tip, ya know? The next day I was talking about how nice it was and everyone called me stupid saying he was probably flirting. So I worked up my courage and gave him my number today...yeah I got an angry message from his girlfriend who works with him. I just feel really stupid and really embarrassed. I hope I didn't cause problems just cuz I cant read people well. Guess I'll probably be antisocial for awhile too :(

That's why we are oblivious to any flirting until somebody reminds you 4 years after it happened. Real talk now. You took initiative and went for it. That's good Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This time you had some rude rando peeping on the other end. Can't go on living life thinking every step you take there will be somebody obnoxious shooting you down. Might work out better the next time you feel like reaching out. Good luck.

You had no idea he had a girlfriend, you put yourself out there. Good for you, how many people would have the courage to do that? That kind of action will open doors for you someday. You won’t always have the right ‘read’ but that doesn’t really matter, what does it just taking the first step and putting yourself out there. With that said, this guy’s gf was an insecure drama queen. So someone gave he boyfriend their number, she should be happy as that means he’s a wanted man. She took her insecurity out on you. Don’t let it effect you, it’s her problem. He didn’t have to contact you, nor did she.
