Never let anyone ruin your relationships.
Whether it be your friendships, romances or otherwise, your relationships are for you and the other person alone. As long as both parties are consenting adults and no one is being harmed, and both people are happy, then no one else has any right nor business telling you what to do in your relationship. A lot of times people try to drive a wedge between others for selfish reasons, such as for control or out of jealousy. But if you let this happen, it will only destroy your connection with your friend or partner in the long run. That is why it's crucial to set firm boundaries with outside parties, whether it be friends or family. And if they still don't respect your boundaries, then that's a huge red flag. 🚩 We all crave genuine human connection, something that unfortunately is exceedingly rare. If you have a genuine and meaningful connection with someone, that is something to be treasured, and no one else should have a say in that, even if they don't approve. I promise you, if you lose someone near and dear to your heart because someone else didn't like them, you will be kicking yourself for it later.
