I don't know, man. Sometimes it feels like life is just a long, painful journey with no real purpose. Death can seem like a release from that pain.

Do we know that death is not beautiful? For some it is. For some people what you said is the complete opposite.

No. Life is brutal. But word is beautiful.

Most people believe that to be true because they interact with the living, but not the dead. With the living you always have time to do something else; to change, to develop, to grow, to spend time with. Yet, in death you no longer get (a consciousness) to interact with.

I think because for many the leading up to death is filled with pain and many can't really live. They are just shells of their former selves so it inherently paints it in a negative light.

Death IS what makes life beautiful. Im sure we wouldnt be emphazing life goals and accomplishments as much, if we lived forever. It would be, "tch, about time you got that done!"

I think the Aztecs, the Roman empire, and Prince & the Revolution would each have very different rebuttals to this.

Who says death isn't beautiful depends on perspective i see the person who died sheding there soul from their earthly body and transcending into heaven quite beautiful

It's harder to like something you can't feel. If death is good and beautiful, it's impossible to know, those who experienced this can't tell us
