For a romance pic, I just finished "One to Watch" by Kate Stayman-London and it was amazing! Made me ugly cry at one point but in a very cathartic way lol. Basic plot: a plus-size fashion blogger is asked to star on a season of [Not-The Bachelorette] to try and prove they don't just rep skinny conventionally-attractive people, because all people are deserving of finding love. It's a lot about knowing your own worth and not settling for less than your standards.

I really like Murakami and his style. If you enjoy mystery/surreal books, I would recommend colorless Tsukuru Tazaki, Kafka on the shore and 1Q84. But if you want pure mystery, I suggest murder on the orient express. Norwegian wood is a good romance book but it's so sad so I don't know whether to suggest it or not :D

Ooo I have a few. Toby daye series by seanan mcguire. Half fae detective trying to get back on her feet after she was turned into a fish for 14 years. Has mystery, some romance, and all the fae! Warbreaker by Brandon sanderson is fantasy with a very interesting magic system focused on two sisters. One sent in the place of the other.
