Unpopular Opinion: FF13 isn't that bad

Question

I think the hate on FF13 is very unjustified and some people probably just hate it because they want to fit in with the rest of the hardcore FF fans. Yeah it's not the best game but I don't think it's the worst FF. I honestly thought 15 was way worse, it was so boring I couldn't even finish it. I'll go through both 13 and 15 again at some point and do a compare and contrast. It's been so long since I played both that it wouldn't be fair to do it just from memory.

XIII isn't great but not terrible either, the only quirk was that it was too linear and you can't access the open world until much MUCH later in the game but I do love the side missions. If you aim to do side missions, good luck because you'll need it :)

I have yet to beat it but played it for hours and my main gripe is how annoyingly longwinded and linear it is. It got exhausted fast because of that but I certainly dont think it's worse than 15. 15 at least kept me gripped with the whole being bros on an adventure thing. Music of FF13 is pretty banger tho. I dont think it's as bad as people say but it's definitely not a very "good" game. But that's just my opinion thanks for expressing yours.
